XRP has reentered a price region that cryptocurrency analyst JD (@jaydee_757) has been monitoring since the start of August.
The analyst shared a chart depicting XRP trading close to the $1.2877 mark, located inside what he terms his “grey box.” He defines this as a dollar-cost averaging (DCA) zone that he originally shared on Patreon several months prior to the price action reaching it.
His commentary delivered a direct message: “We CRASHED right back into my GREY BOX AGAIN,” he noted, drawing attention to the accuracy of his prediction rather than solely focusing on the current price.
$XRP WARNING! – We CRASHED right back into my GREY BOX AGAIN!
DCA zone has been posted on Patreon since EARLY AUGUST!
MAJOR WARNING SIGNS need to be NEGATED, or I expect a MUCH DEEPER CRASH!
If that happens, I'll be DCAing HEAVILY!

What the Chart Shows
The Exponential Moving Average (EMA) on the weekly timeframe sits at $1.5085. The distance between the current price and the EMA points to significant selling pressure over the past few weeks. The grey box highlighted by JD appears on the chart as an orange-shaded zone positioned roughly between $1.25 and $1.30.
The cryptocurrency’s price has retreated to this area after touching highs near $1.4197 during the charted timeframe. The candlestick formations display a sequence of red weekly candles driving the price down into this support zone.
A yellow diagonal trendline crosses the chart, sloping downward toward the lower right corner, which provides additional context for the bearish momentum currently present in the price structure.
Warning Signs Still in Play
JD is not yet signaling a market recovery. He points out that major warning signs must be invalidated before he alters his perspective. While his post does not outline each specific warning sign individually, the chart and text together indicate he is closely watching for a confirmed defense of the grey box area.
Should that support fail to hold, he anticipates a more severe downturn. He adds that a deeper crash would prompt him to increase his purchasing, noting that he would lean heavily into dollar-cost averaging.
The DCA Strategy Behind the Call
Employing dollar-cost averaging within a critical support zone represents a structured plan. JD’s method relies on accumulating assets at predetermined levels rather than reacting impulsively to real-time market shifts. Publishing this zone back in early August lends added credibility to the current setup, as XRP has now validated the zone’s significance by revisiting it.
He has promised a comprehensive chart update, which will likely examine whether the existing warning signs are clearing up or if lower price targets are approaching. Successfully defending the grey box remains a primary focus going forward.
