XRP currently finds itself in one of the most extreme technical configurations in its entire history. According to a comprehensive breakdown by cycle researcher and analyst Cryptollica (@Cryptollica), XRP’s monthly Relative Strength Index (RSI) has tumbled to a 13-year low, dipping beneath the previous RSI bottoms observed in 2017 and 2020. At present, the monthly RSI sits at 40.54.
What the Chart Shows
Spanning from 2013 to the present day on a monthly scale, the chart highlights three historical RSI low points using vertical orange lines. The newest reading, designated as the first, is positioned on the right and identified as the “All-time low RSI in 13 years.”
Meanwhile, the price action is tightening inside a falling wedge pattern just underneath the $3 resistance mark from the 2018 cycle high. Providing a foundation since the asset’s early days, the long-term ascending trendline is still holding firm. Cryptollica anticipates a decisive breakout from this wedge, using a green arrow to chart a potential trajectory toward $10 and higher.
THAT’S WHY THE NEXT RUN WILL BE MASSIVE

Profitability Metrics Add Context
In addition to the RSI indicators, Cryptollica highlights vital on-chain figures. Prior to showing signs of recovery, the Realized Profit/Loss Ratio sank deep into negative territory. Furthermore, Relative Unrealized Profit plummeted to thresholds typically seen during periods of maximum market stress. These data points coincide with prices remaining resilient above fundamental long-term support.
Cryptollica characterizes this mix of subdued momentum, washed-out profitability, and a resilient price framework as “the kind of environment where almost nobody wants the asset, yet the asymmetry starts becoming interesting.”
A Pattern Across Three Cycles
The weight of the current RSI metric stems from historical precedent. The low RSI reading in 2017 came right before XRP’s legendary bull run toward the 2018 cycle peak, while the 2020 low preceded a major surge that carried the token past $1.90 in 2021.
Surpassing both prior lows, the present RSI reading is nearing deeply oversold territory. Within Cryptollica’s framework, this sequence of progressively lower lows represents a repeating structural cycle.
Cryptollica’s Outlook
Looking ahead, Cryptollica anticipates that XRP will emerge as “one of the assets capable of surprising hardest.” He noted that his weekly monitoring covers Bitcoin, Ethereum, various altcoins, on-chain metrics, and relative strength.
With the monthly RSI beginning to bounce back, Cryptollica’s core premise relies on that recovery persisting as the falling wedge breaks upward. The target outlined on his chart points toward a substantial rally past the 2018 cycle high, potentially driving the asset into double-digit values.
