Dark Defender: XRP Will Have No Mercy Based On This Development

Well-known XRP analyst Dark Defender shared a bullish outlook on X recently, posting: “Financial infrastructure is transitioning before our eyes. We were right, folks. I am telling you, XRP will have no mercy.”

The remark followed Ripple’s announcement, made hours prior, regarding a strategic collaboration with Cross River Bank to weave its RLUSD stablecoin into the bank’s core operating infrastructure.

Details of the Partnership

Through this integration of Ripple’s USD-backed stablecoin into Cross River Bank’s proprietary Core Operating System, payment providers, financial institutions, and fintech firms gain the ability to conduct stablecoin transactions without constructing independent blockchain systems.

Adam Goller, Cross River’s Head of Fintech Banking, verified that customers can now convert between U.S. dollars and RLUSD, handle cross-border transfers around the clock, and utilize real-time payments, wire transfers, and ACH via a unified API. Settlement takes place on the XRP Ledger. At present, these offerings are available in a select group of U.S. states.

What it Means for XRP

By embedding XRP Ledger activity straight into the core framework of a regulated American bank, every fintech customer using Cross River’s platform obtains access to the ledger as a payment rail alongside conventional methods. This drives up genuine transaction volume flowing through the network.

Furthermore, the agreement broadens the reach of RLUSD within institutional banking circles. Because RLUSD runs on the XRP Ledger, rising stablecoin usage directly enhances network utility. For holders of XRP, such institutional-grade adoption points to increased use of the underlying infrastructure.

How the Community Reacted

Dark Defender’s message drew widespread interaction. One user replied that they had maintained that same belief since 2018 and remained patient for a major price movement. A different user remarked that things were turning serious, while another characterized the timing as standing on the “precipice of glory.”

Conversely, some reactions lacked enthusiasm. One observer dismissed the event as a circus, pointing out that XRP continued to trade at low price levels despite early celebrations from the analyst.

A Growing Pattern

The Cross River agreement mirrors the swift broadening of Ripple’s institutional presence. Just days before, Ripple joined forces with Privy, a Stripe subsidiary, to supply embedded XRP Ledger wallets to developers crafting financial technology applications. The frequency of these updates highlights mounting institutional trust in the XRP Ledger as a viable payment foundation.

Dark Defender’s statement reflected an attitude shared by many members of the XRP community.
