Crypto commentator Digital Asset Investor (@digitalassetbuy) has joined the ongoing discussion surrounding a potential $1,000 price for XRP. In a video response to technical analyst ChartNerd (@ChartNerdTA)—who previously vowed to delete his X account if XRP ever reaches $1,000—Digital Asset Investor made his perspective clear.
“I’m in the Dom Kwok camp,” he stated, aligning with the long-term prediction set by Dom Kwok, the co-founder of EasyA and former Goldman Sachs professional, who has forecasted that XRP will hit $1,000 by 2030.
Reading ChartNerd’s Claim
Prior to declaring his view, Digital Asset Investor provided some background on ChartNerd’s position, noting that the analyst is likely addressing short-term speculators. “I think that what he’s saying is that, in the short term, people are saying, oh, it’s going to be $1,000 next week, which is complete bull,” he explained.
This distinction highlights ChartNerd’s pattern of pushing back against ambitious moonshot predictions and dismissing extreme forecasts from prominent community members as unrealistic for the near term.

The Next Run
Looking at the immediate future, Digital Asset Investor forecasted that XRP will break its all-time high during the upcoming market cycle. He identified a realistic trading range of $5 to $20 for this next wave, while adding a caveat by stating, “All bets are off, folks.”
Two Differing Camps
The conflicting viewpoints of ChartNerd and Dom Kwok reflect a wider division within the XRP community. While ChartNerd relies on market cap and supply analysis to argue against extreme valuations, Kwok bases his $1,000 outlook on institutional adoption and his background at Goldman Sachs.
Community feedback largely favored a more moderate outlook, with skepticism directed at the four-figure target. One user remarked that ChartNerd’s account is safe because XRP will never reach $1,000. Another critic faulted Digital Asset Investor for bypassing the complex details, pointing out the absence of a valuation model, proof of necessary demand, or an examination of the token’s supply.
Alternative projections were also offered by participants, including a $10 target for 2030 and expressions of satisfaction with reaching double digits first. Ultimately, while Digital Asset Investor backs Kwok’s long-term vision, a significant portion of the community shares ChartNerd’s conservative approach.
