Pundit to XRP Holders: We Have Less Than 10 Days Left. Here’s What Is Coming

Cryptocurrency commentator Austin Hilton recently shared a direct warning with XRP investors, emphasizing that the upcoming ten days are critical. In a video posted on X, Hilton informed his followers that an upcoming Federal Reserve decision will directly impact their digital asset portfolios.

Starting the discussion by addressing common frustrations among XRP holders, Hilton stated, “I’m tired of talking about the Federal Reserve and interest rates,” adding, “I’m tired of talking about inflation. I’m tired of talking about uncertainty.”

Although he maintains faith in cryptocurrency as a viable financial avenue for ordinary people, he stressed that current market conditions require careful monitoring.

The Fed Decision on October 28

The primary catalyst highlighted by Hilton is the Federal Reserve’s scheduled gathering on October 27 and 28. He pointed to Wednesday, October 28, as the crucial date when the official interest rate decision will be revealed.

According to Hilton, the Fed is expected to lift the baseline interest rate by 0.25%. He pointed to recent, hotter-than-expected Consumer Price Index and Producer Price Index inflation reports as indicators that the central bank will move forward with the hike, estimating the likelihood at 80% or higher while ruling out any potential rate cut.

What a Rate Hike Means for XRP

Detailing the market mechanics, Hilton noted that higher interest rates elevate borrowing expenses, boost the U.S. dollar, and drive Treasury yields upward. As Treasury yields climb, capital typically shifts away from risk-heavy assets like cryptocurrencies and toward lower-risk options, ultimately draining liquidity from the crypto ecosystem.

Hilton pointed out that crypto is currently operating with scarce liquidity. Utilizing his own phrase, “bullish liquidity,” he defined it as money flowing into the market driven by expectations of future gains, noting that this specific type of capital is entirely missing at the moment.

He cautioned that XRP could dip below $1.20 should the anticipated rate increase happen and trigger a negative market reaction.

XRP’s Consolidation Pattern

Turning to recent price action, Hilton analyzed XRP’s trajectory, observing a 57% surge over a 14-day period prior to a consolidation phase that has persisted since late August. While characterizing this behavior as tedious, he noted it aligns with historical trends for XRP has historically moved: experiencing a rally, entering consolidation, and subsequently repeating the cycle.

Ultimately, he told his audience that the broader market remains on pause, with investors holding off on major financial commitments until the Federal Reserve makes its move.
