Alpha Metric Co-Founder: XRP Is Gearing Up to Melt Faces. Here’s the Signal

XRP has spent months compressing inside a well-defined technical structure on the 3-day chart. Crypto investor and speculator Gordon (@GordonGekko) highlighted the asset’s setup, stating that it is poised to “melt faces” while setting an initial price target of $3.30. Trading at $1.55 currently, reaching that objective would translate to an increase of more than 110%.

The Falling Wedge Explained

The chart displays a traditional falling wedge pattern, characterized by two descending trendlines converging as the asset produces lower highs and lower lows. The upper trendline links a sequence of declining peaks, while the lower trendline connects a series of declining troughs. This tightening action forms a narrowing wedge.

As a bullish reversal structure, a falling wedge indicates that selling momentum is fading. Each consecutive lower high exhibits less strength than the preceding one, causing the cryptocurrency to lose ground at a slower rate as the pattern narrows. When the price successfully breaches the upper trendline, market participants view it as a transfer of market control from bears to bulls.

Circled red highs and circled green lows on the chart mark these pivot points, clearly outlining the wedge. At present, the price is positioned near the lower boundary of the formation, testing potential support.

The $3.30 Target

Gordon points to $3.30 as the primary target should the pattern resolve bullishly. That specific price point holds importance that extends past the technical pattern itself. XRP’s previous trading activity near the $3 mark occurred on October 10, 2025. Advancing to $3.30 would recapture those regions, returning the asset above thresholds it has failed to maintain since the final months of 2025.

Given that XRP’s all-time high stands at 3.65, a climb to $3.30 would nearly bridge the distance to that record peak. If upward momentum persists following a breakout, Gordon’s $3.30 projection could serve as the initial phase of a much larger rally.

Where XRP Stands

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) positioned beneath the main chart has trended upward over the past few weeks, nearing the higher boundaries visible throughout the display. This shift in momentum mirrors the price action tightening inside the wedge.

XRP changes hands at $1.55 as of publication, with attention centered on the 3-day timeframe. Although short-term market noise is present, the pattern underscored by Gordon has developed over multiple months and holds significant weight across macro timeframes. Traders remain focused on a confirmed breakout past the upper trendline as the definitive signal.
