Pundit to XRP Holders: Read This About SWIFT and XRP Before You Lose Your Conviction

Crypto commentator X Finance Bull argues that SWIFT's blockchain advancements and institutional adoption of tokenized assets could reinforce XRP's position in cross-border payments and liquidity management.

Pundit to XRP Holders: Read This About SWIFT and XRP Before You Lose Your Conviction

Crypto commentator X Finance Bull argues that SWIFT’s latest blockchain advancements could reinforce XRP’s position within institutional finance as traditional banking institutions increasingly adopt tokenized assets and digital currencies.

In a detailed post on X, he linked SWIFT’s new blockchain-based ledger with established financial entities already collaborating with Ripple and the XRP Ledger.

He pointed out that the rising demand for interoperability, cross-border payments, and liquidity could generate new openings for XRP as traditional finance shifts toward asset tokenization.

SWIFT Confirms Live Transactions With More Than A Dozen Banks

X Finance Bull initially drew attention to statements from Jack Pouderoyen, Digital Assets Product Lead at SWIFT, who explained that financial institutions are tokenizing deposits and financial assets at an accelerated pace.

Pouderoyen highlighted interoperability as a critical requirement since banks are building separate blockchain networks that must ultimately interact with one another.

He reported that SWIFT has achieved substantial progress since launching its blockchain-based ledger roughly a year prior. Over a dozen banks have successfully executed live transactions within a production-grade setting, with another six anticipated to join before the conclusion of the year.

X Finance Bull views this progress as significant because SWIFT is successfully integrating blockchain technology into operational banking. He contends that the rising volume of interconnected financial networks will drive the need for systems capable of handling efficient asset transfers and settlements.

BNY and Standard Chartered Connect SWIFT With Ripple

The commentator pointed to BNY and Standard Chartered as key examples illustrating the overlap between SWIFT’s initiative and Ripple.

BNY takes part in SWIFT’s blockchain program. Furthermore, X Finance Bull referenced its October 27, 2026, announcement confirming that its Digital Asset Custody platform provides support for XRP and RLUSD, alongside its role as a primary reserve custodian for RLUSD.

Standard Chartered participates in SWIFT’s project as well and has maintained a working relationship with Ripple since 2016. In October 2026, the bank introduced institutional RLUSD custody offerings on the XRP Ledger via its Dubai International Financial Centre branch. It is also partnering with Ripple and LMAX Group on initiatives utilizing RLUSD as collateral for institutional trading.

X Finance Bull maintains that these connections are vital because they bridge traditional banking services with digital-asset custody, trading, and settlement.

Tokenized Funds Expand XRPL’s Financial Applications

X Finance Bull also spotlighted multiple ventures centered around tokenized investment instruments.

DBS Bank and Franklin Templeton are teaming up with Ripple on tokenized money-market funds and RLUSD. Their work features Franklin Templeton’s sgBENJI fund, with plans for the DBS Digital Exchange to back related trading activities.

He additionally cited Aviva Investors’ October 26, 2026, launch of a tokenized share class for its Sterling Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger. The overarching fund commands roughly £22 billion in assets under management.

An additional instance involves Brazilian financial market infrastructure provider CSD BR, which is collaborating with Ripple to create tokenized representations of investment-fund shares using the XRPL Multi-Purpose Token standard.

For the commentator, these milestones showcase how the XRP Ledger is finding practical uses in financial ecosystems involving investment funds, asset tokenization, and digital currencies.

Why XRP’s Liquidity Function Matters

X Finance Bull argues that XRP’s primary value proposition lies in its capacity to serve as a bridge asset across various currencies.

The XRP Ledger features native auto-bridging, which enables XRP to mediate trades between two different assets whenever an XRP-routed path offers superior liquidity.

For instance, a transaction involving tokenized euros and Brazilian reais could leverage XRP as an intermediary.

He also touched upon Ripple’s partnership with C2FO through C2FO Instant Pay, which applies the XRPL and RLUSD to help approved vendors secure early payments, connecting this initiative to the broader demand for streamlined corporate payments and liquidity management.

Nevertheless, the commentator’s core thesis rests on actual usage of XRP. The proliferation of tokenized assets does not automatically drive demand for XRP itself; financial institutions and market makers would need to actively utilize the token for currency conversion and settlement to produce genuine liquidity demand.

X Finance Bull Maintains His Long-Term Conviction

Looking ahead to 2030, X Finance Bull anticipates that tokenized securities, digital currencies, and institutional settlement mechanisms will gain prominence. He pointed to real-world foreign exchange transactions settled through XRP, newly established tokenized currency markets, and growing institutional custody offerings as primary trends to watch.

While recognizing the frustration felt by XRP holders dealing with downward price pressure, he argued that short-term price action fails to capture the true potential of the asset.
