Ripple Seals Fresh Partnership for XRP Expansion

Ripple has partnered with Stripe-owned wallet infrastructure provider Privy to introduce embedded wallets to the XRP Ledger, enabling developers to build payment and agentic commerce applications using XRP and RLUSD.

Ripple Seals Fresh Partnership for XRP Expansion

Ripple has announced a new collaboration aimed at the XRP Ledger. The firm is teaming up with Privy—a wallet infrastructure provider owned by Stripe—to introduce embedded wallets to the XRP Ledger.

This integration enables developers to incorporate payment functionalities utilizing XRP, RLUSD, and various digital assets directly into their applications, eliminating the need for end users to handle their own private keys.

To date, the XRP Ledger has expanded to encompass more than 8 million funded accounts alongside a transaction volume exceeding $1 trillion. This established scale provides a solid operational foundation for the collaboration.

What Developers Get

The alliance broadens the development capabilities available on the XRPL ecosystem. Utilizing Privy, creators can programmatically generate and oversee XRPL wallets, execute transaction signatures, and construct apps powered by XRP and RLUSD. Furthermore, developers can activate x402 payments tailored for agentic commerce, while preserving user ownership and data portability via private key and seed phrase exports.

Markus Infanger, Senior Vice President of RippleX at Ripple, characterized the move as providing developers with “a strong foundation to build financial products that can scale.” Meanwhile, Henri Stern, Cofounder and CEO of Privy, noted that the company is “excited to make Privy wallets available to developers building on XRPL, from global payments to agentic commerce.”

Agentic Commerce Takes Center Stage

The focus on agentic commerce holds considerable importance. This integration supports programmable wallets hosted on servers, empowering AI agents to store funds and execute transactions independently, which includes utilizing x402 payments. Ripple verified that the XRPL has already handled 13 million agent-driven transactions, representing approximately 25% of overall network usage.

According to Ripple’s internal metrics, agentic transactions surged from zero to 13 million over the course of just a few months—a velocity few forecasted at the beginning of the year.

During the XRP Seoul 2026 event on October 3, Ripple President Monica Long forecast that AI agent-based transactions on the XRPL could increase from 10 million to 100 million. Given current momentum, that goal appears increasingly attainable.

Why Privy

Privy is an established industry participant. Functioning as a Stripe entity, it supplies wallet architecture currently relied upon by prominent financial technology platforms. Integrating this infrastructure directly into the XRPL eliminates a primary barrier for developers who wish to build on the ledger but lack the capacity to construct native wallet management tools independently.

Specifically for fintechs and payment processors, embedded wallets facilitate stablecoin transactions while removing the complexity of key management from the consumer experience. This represents a notable evolution for consumer applications operating on the XRPL.

The XRP Ledger has established itself as a prominent hub for AI-driven commerce, and Privy has indicated plans to further expand the integration going forward.
