Crypto Crusaders creator Levi Rietveld recently urged followers to monitor a pivotal development that he argues could fundamentally alter the trajectory of XRP, noting that a major international bank has integrated with the XRP Ledger.
Standard Chartered Launches RLUSD Custody
On October 12, Standard Chartered formally rolled out institutional custody services for Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin on the XRP Ledger. Operating through its branch in the Dubai International Financial Centre, the bank now accommodates XRP Ledger functions for qualified institutional clients, providing heavyweights in the financial sector with a regulated, bank-grade gateway into the XRP ecosystem.
Describing the event as the catalyst he anticipated, Rietveld told his viewers, “A major bank just made a big move on the XRP ledger,” adding that “this could be much larger than people think.”

The Three-Way Partnership Taking Shape
This custody rollout forms a single component of a broader alliance. Standard Chartered has teamed up with both Ripple and LMAX Group to formulate a collateral mirroring framework.
Through this system, institutions keeping RLUSD balances with Standard Chartered can leverage those funds as trading collateral across LMAX Group’s institutional markets. The foundational tokens remain securely in bank custody at all times without needing any transfer to the trading platform.
Having incorporated RLUSD into its lineup of trading instruments back in 2025—a year in which it handled $8.2 trillion in institutional exchange volume—LMAX Group also received $150 million in financing from Ripple in January 2026. The integration of Standard Chartered’s custody solutions successfully bridges traditional banking directly to this active trading venue via RLUSD.
XRP Ledger Deepens Into Institutional Finance
According to Rietveld, the expanding footprint of the XRP Ledger within this architecture stands out as the most critical takeaway. “We’re talking about bringing the XRP ledger technology deeper into institutional finance,” he emphasized, noting that practical utility for the ledger scales upward as additional regulated entities build upon it.
Should institutional activity on the ledger continue to expand, it naturally bolsters demand for XRP itself, which acts as a bridge asset and a fundamental pillar of the ecosystem. Standard Chartered’s participation establishes a globally prominent bank firmly at the core of RLUSD institutional adoption on the ledger driven by XRP.
Rietveld’s Price Outlook
Rietveld remains unambiguous regarding the implications for XRP market valuation. “Moves like this are what gives me a lot of confidence that in the next bull run, XRP is going to hit $10 or more,” he stated.
He links the expansion of institutional infrastructure directly to long-term valuation gains, arguing that as prime brokers, traditional banks, and institutional trading hubs deepen their integration with the XRP Ledger, the asset’s utility strengthens with every newcomer.
