Despite persistent selling across both perpetual and spot markets, XRP maintains a price near $1.52, according to crypto analyst Xaif Crypto. Recent figures from Binance and other centralized exchanges point to billions of dollars in accumulated selling pressure, yet XRP has managed to avoid a proportional drop. Xaif Crypto suggests this discrepancy implies that buyers are actively absorbing the incoming supply.
On September 28, Xaif Crypto published a CryptoQuant graphic detailing Binance perpetual CVD, estimated spot CVD across centralized exchanges, and Binance open interest, drawing attention to the magnitude of the selling visible in the metrics.
The shared data lists Binance perpetual CVD at roughly negative $1.2 billion, estimated spot CVD across all centralized exchanges at about negative $2.7 billion, and Binance open interest near $276.5 million.
Xaif Crypto linked these metrics directly to recent price movements for XRP, noting that market participants have faced weeks of persistent selling while the token holds steady around $1.52.
“Sellers have been hitting the market for weeks, yet XRP is still holding around $1.52,” he wrote. “Someone is absorbing all that supply.”

CVD Shows Persistent Selling
Cumulative Volume Delta measures the net difference between aggressive buying and selling volume. A negative CVD value signifies that sellers executed more aggressive market orders than buyers during the specified timeframe.
Consequently, the metrics highlighted in Xaif Crypto’s post indicate substantial selling pressure. Even so, the price of XRP has not followed a downward path, staying near the $1.50 mark despite ongoing negative CVD figures.
This resilience forms the core of Xaif Crypto’s observation. When sellers offload tokens without triggering a price drop, it often signals that buyers are stepping in to take the other side of those orders and absorb the available liquidity.
Additionally, the data highlights Binance open interest at roughly $276.5 million, providing traders with an extra indicator to evaluate alongside the CVD metrics.

Traders React to Xaif Crypto’s View
Other XRP community accounts also weighed in on the analysis.
Altcoin Insider raised the possibility of a subsequent upward breakout once the existing supply is fully absorbed.
“Once that order filled we’ll run higher high,” the account wrote.
Meanwhile, Lana XRP & Crypto presented a more cautious perspective on the statistics. While acknowledging that sellers have targeted the market while XRP hovers near $1.50, she refrained from viewing the setup as a guaranteed signal for immediate upward momentum.
“Sellers hitting for weeks. Price still on 1.50. Absorption. Not a victory lap,” she wrote.
Ultimately, Xaif Crypto’s chart highlights a clear market divergence: sellers generate heavy negative CVD readings while XRP remains supported near $1.52. Market participants will be watching to see if buyers can sustain this support as selling pressures persist.
