XRP Rich List Updated: Here’s How Much XRP You Need To Join Top 1% Holders

The total number of XRP Ledger accounts continues to rise, quietly altering the makeup of top-tier holders.

The XRP Rich List has updated once again. Figures from October 2, 2026 indicate that the minimum balance required to hit various significant holder percentiles has dropped across the board. This is due to a simple mechanism: an expanding user base distributes the total token supply among a greater number of wallets, thereby reducing the amount of XRP necessary to secure a spot in any given percentile.

Top 1%: The Threshold Keeps Falling

To break into the top 1%, an investor now needs 43,995 XRP. Earlier in 2026, that requirement hovered near 46,521 XRP, while in 2025 it sat closer to 50,000 XRP. Altogether, the required amount has tumbled by approximately 31% since January 2024, when securing that rank demanded roughly 64,077 XRP.

Based on XRP’s current valuation of $1.54, holding 43,995 XRP equals roughly $67,753. At present, 81,993 accounts hit that specific threshold, marking a sharp increase from about 50,370 accounts in January 2024. More wallets meet the criteria for this percentile simply because the overall network account base has expanded.

Top 2%, 4%, and 10%

This downward trend is visible across all categories. The top 2% now begins at 21,500 XRP, valued at around $33,110. Meanwhile, entering the top 4% calls for at least 10,010 XRP—worth about $15,415—with 327,970 accounts currently satisfying this standard.

Entering the top 10% demands 2,091 XRP, which translates to roughly $3,221 at current market prices.

As you move closer to the absolute peak, the entry barriers climb steeply. The top 0.5% starts at 79,752 XRP, valued at approximately $122,819 across a total of 40,997 addresses. The requirement for the top 0.2% rests at 156,490 XRP, or roughly $241,115, spread across 16,399 accounts. Finally, the top 0.1% baseline reaches 275,019 XRP, equal to about $423,529, with a mere 8,200 accounts meeting the mark.

The 0.01% Elite

The top 0.01% comprises just 820 accounts, each maintaining a balance of at least 3,784,253 XRP. With XRP priced at $1.54, that amount translates to roughly $5.83 million. This exclusive bracket is made up predominantly of institutional wallets, exchange storage addresses, and legacy holders who have maintained their positions through numerous market cycles.

A Growing Ledger Changes Everything

The account base of the XRP Ledger has grown by roughly 63% since the start of 2024. This growth serves as the primary catalyst behind the falling entry requirements. Because more participants are spreading the network’s capped supply across a broader collection of wallets, investors need fewer tokens than before to reach any given percentile tier.

For everyday retail participants, these figures provide a clear point of reference. Owning roughly 44,000 XRP currently places a wallet within the top 1% of all XRP Ledger addresses—a milestone that shifts downward as adoption continues to climb.
