A prominent investor in the XRP community has revealed he will not liquidate his core holdings even if the token reaches the $5 to $10 range, citing long-term growth catalysts and market potential.

Top Investor Says He Won’t Sell His XRP Position. Here’s why

XRP investors remain divided in their outlooks. A community member recently expressed the opinion that popular predictions of the token hitting hundreds or thousands of dollars are far-fetched.

That perspective prompted a prominent reaction from Digital Asset Investor (@digitalassetbuy), a well-known figure within the XRP community.

She maintained that a more realistic upper limit sits at $15 to $20, noting that consistently hitting $5 to $10 would already mark a remarkable success. Digital Asset Investor concurred with her assessment, yet announced that he has no intention of liquidating his primary holdings within that $5 to $10 bracket.

Digital Asset Investor’s Stance

While recognizing the viewpoint, Digital Asset Investor outlined his personal strategy. He noted that this perspective is likely shared widely across the XRP community, adding that an exit at $5 to $10 is “understandable since many have waited a long time.”

However, he does not intend to follow suit. Stating that he “may buy a toy,” he emphasized, “I won’t be selling my core position at those prices.” This outlook aligns with his long-held perspective. He has consistently highlighted Evernorth’s Nasdaq debut, its treasury of 473 million XRP, and its plans to utilize XRP in decentralized finance and institutional lending as catalysts for substantial price growth.

He has characterized the present market as one experiencing pent-up pressure without a significant breakout. Cashing out at $5 to $10 does not align with that thesis.

The Community Responds

Responses from other community members varied significantly. One participant suggested that XRP could surge directly into triple digits once market manipulation ceases and the asset trades naturally. Another likened liquidating early to stumbling upon a diamond deposit and leaving after unearthing a single gem.

Another holder pointed out that XRP is currently trading at more than four times his purchase price, dismissing those who feel unsatisfied by noting that grumbling at $1.40 will likely persist if the token reaches $14.

Other users adopted a more grounded tone. One advised building an investment strategy around tangible results rather than guesswork, labeling the discussion a necessary reality check. Another questioned whether the $5 to $10 threshold would materialize at all given the current trajectory, suggesting that milestone might not occur until 2050.

One investor shared plans to secure loans against their holdings instead of selling as valuations increase, warning that sellers will face remorse. Meanwhile, another stated they plan to recover their principal investment at those tiers but will hold out for three- and four-digit targets before taking further action.
