Evernorth CEO Has An Announcement for XRP Army

Traditional finance operates at a sluggish pace, and its underlying systems move even more slowly. In an open letter, Evernorth CEO Asheesh Birla stressed that this paradigm is on the verge of shifting, with his company just having taken a major step to demonstrate it.

Evernorth confirmed the finalization of its business combination with Armada Acquisition Corp. II on October 9. Common stock is slated to debut on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN on Monday, October 12.

What Evernorth Does

As a digital asset treasury firm centered on XRP, Evernorth maintains roughly 473 million XRP tokens on its balance sheet. Following the business combination and associated private placements, the firm secured more than $1 billion in capital. By functioning as a publicly listed entity, Evernorth provides institutional investors with a regulated gateway to the XRP ecosystem.

Rather than acting as a passive observer, Birla characterizes the company’s objective as active engagement. Evernorth plans to deploy its capital directly onto the XRP Ledger to bolster liquidity and collaborate with developers building essential institutional tools.

The Case Birla Makes

In his open letter, Birla outlined a five-year projection for financial architecture. He points out that technical constraints and a lack of legal clarity have traditionally prevented blockchain integration into mainstream finance, though both obstacles are presently being addressed.

Regarding regulations, Birla highlights that the United States enacted its inaugural federal payment stablecoin legislation in 2025, anticipating broader market rules to ensue. Addressing infrastructure, he contrasts the high speed of blockchains with legacy systems, noting that conventional settlement frameworks still operate at a 1973 pace.

Tokenization forms the core of Birla’s overarching argument. He contends that various holdings—including equities, bonds, real estate shares, and property stakes—can transform into programmable digital items capable of moving instantaneously, generating their own yield, and self-executing based on embedded conditions.

Why This Matters for XRP

XRP serves as the foundation of Evernorth’s business model, with the XRP Ledger acting as the core technology for its initiatives. Through Evernorth’s public listing, institutions gain a regulated, exchange-traded option for gaining exposure to the network.

Birla views Evernorth as an active builder within this domain rather than a mere spectator. By actively supporting liquidity on the XRP Ledger, the firm generates continuous utility demand for the token. Evernorth anticipates ringing the Nasdaq closing bell on October 14, following the commencement of XRPN trading on October 12.

Concluding his letter with a bold prediction, Birla answers the question of how much financial activity will transition to blockchains by stating it will be “more than most people in finance expect, and sooner.”
