Another massive XRP transaction has been carried out by Ripple, according to insights shared by prominent analyst Xaif (@Xaif_Crypto). Along with a screenshot of the transfer, the on-chain data uncovers further details beyond the initial movement.
Details of the Transaction
Ripple transferred 99,866,844 XRP—valued at roughly $149.6 million—from its own wallet to a recipient address identified by Destination Tag 681503328. Executed on October 6, the transfer was finalized on the ledger at 4:18 PM UTC with a minimal fee of just 0.000015 XRP.
Prior to the transfer, the receiving wallet held 38,196.4 tokens. Following the transaction, its balance increased to 99,905,040.611845 XRP.
Where the Funds Went
Rather than sitting idle in cold storage, the destination wallet was also flagged by Whale Alert as a transfer from Ripple to an anonymous wallet. However, reviewing the activation history of the wallet on the XRP Ledger connects the address directly to Binance.
The capital did not remain static, as the wallet subsequently transferred the XRP to a second wallet associated with Binance. Activation records on-chain link both addresses to the exchange.
The Pattern Around It
During the same timeframe, Whale Alert recorded three extra transfers, each involving approximately 99,865,845 XRP. Two of these recent transactions involved movements between wallets already tied to Binance. The oldest transfer in the sequence is the one spotlighted by Xaif, originating directly from Ripple’s labeled wallet.
Community Reactions
These token movements took place less than a day after a separate transfer of 100 million XRP linked to Ripple. The publication sparked various perspectives. A number of users adopted a cautious approach, with one commenter emphasizing that the transfer constituted a relocation rather than a liquidation, noting that the designation “unknown” simply serves as a classification label instead of proof of a market order. This user further highlighted $1.55 as a crucial price level to monitor.
Another participant claimed the capital shifted into one of Ripple’s private wallets. While transfers of this nature frequently trigger accusations that Ripple is dumping XRP onto the market, such criticisms were missing at the time of publication. Instead, on-chain records indicate the assets traveled between wallets associated with Ripple and Binance, pointing toward standard operational fund transfers.
At the time of the post, XRP changed hands at $1.47, marking a 2.35% decline for the day. While one user dismissed the transaction as meaningless, another claimed the transfer relates to a new acquisition and advised community members to save the post. Although Ripple has completed several notable acquisitions over recent years, no further proof supports this particular scenario.
